Ontario Premier Doug Ford made an important announcement on the matter of tax relief for businesses being affected by COVID restrictions…
“As Ontario recorded a record 1,388 new COVID-19 cases Tuesday, Premier Doug Ford said the province is looking to empower municipalities to provide targeted tax relief to small businesses, relief that will be matched with provincial funds.
Tax relief could amount to as much as $385 million, Ford said in his daily briefing from an Iranian food market in Willowdale.
Ford said the new proposed measures are part of his recent budget to help the province recover from a pandemic now in its second wave that recorded 15 new deaths Tuesday.”
